Home Direct Care

No insurance. No middlemen. Just care.

Direct care physical therapy means you work directly with your doctor. No insurance dictating your treatment, no surprise bills, no limits on what care you can receive. Transparent pricing. Real access.

The Model

What direct care actually means.

In a traditional insurance-based clinic, your treatment plan is constrained by what insurance approves. The number of visits, the type of treatment, the length of sessions all of it is filtered through a third party whose interests are not aligned with your recovery.

At Unify PT, we don't bill insurance. You pay us directly, you get the full attention of a fellowship-trained Doctor of PT during every session. Your plan is built around your goals, not a billing code.

No physician referral required. Most patients are seen within a few days, so getting started is easier than you think. You can call, book online, and come in this week.

Common Questions

Questions about direct care.

We are a direct care clinic and do not bill insurance directly. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds. We provide a superbill after each session that you can submit to a PPO insurance plan for potential out-of-network reimbursement. When you factor in copays, deductibles, and the number of visits a typical insurance clinic requires, many patients find the total out-of-pocket cost with us is comparable or lower.
No. Texas has direct access laws for physical therapy, meaning you can schedule an appointment without a physician referral. You don't need to wait for paperwork or a doctor's approval before coming in.
Please note that a consultation ($99) and an evaluation ($225) is different

Consultation:
A consultation is a chance to meet with us, discuss what has been bothering you, ask questions, and learn whether our approach is the right fit for your goals. It is a conversation, not a full physical assessment.

Evaluation:
An evaluation is your first treatment appointment. We will perform a comprehensive assessment to understand what is contributing to your symptoms, explain our findings, begin treatment when appropriate, and create a personalized plan to help you reach your goals.
Yes. The Doctor of PT who evaluates you on day one is the same clinician treating you throughout your care. You will never need to re-explain your history to someone new or start over with a different provider mid-treatment.
Yes. Choosing direct care PT at Unify PT does not affect your ability to use insurance for other medical services, imaging, specialist visits, medications, or anything else. We simply don't participate in insurance billing for PT sessions at our clinic.
Every situation is different, and we'll discuss realistic expectations at your first visit. Because each session with clinician is fully focused on your 1-on-1 care, many patients achieve their goals in fewer visits than they would in a traditional insurance clinic setting. We don't have any incentive to extend your care beyond what you need.

Start with a Consultation.

We review your history, watch how you move through a functional assessment, By the end of the consult you will have a clear understanding of what is going on and what treatment would involve.
